TAPROOM REOPENING: Apr 15th

Here it is. The moment everyone has been patiently waiting for…

The Glen Affric Brewery Taproom will officially be opening up again after over a year in hibernation!

Of course, we’re not out of the woods just yet with the whole C-Word, so as with all pubs & taprooms across the country, we will be doing things a little differently to the before-times as the UK transitions back to some semblance of normalcy.

Let’s do the run down:

Opening Times

(Last call: 20 mins before close)

  • Friday: 5pm - 9pm (or closing earlier, weather dependant)

  • Saturday: 1pm - 9pm (or closing earlier, weather dependant)

  • Sunday: 1pm - 6pm (or closing earlier, weather dependant)

We stipulate weather dependant because, as you all likely know by now, it’s outdoor seating only and frankly, the weather up north isn’t always the sunniest. Occasionally, it rains. Sometimes a lot. And no one wants to sit outside in the cold, pouring rain drinking a pint (we hope not anyway).

The best way to keep on top of if we’re open or not is to check out social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) as we’ll keep those updated regularly if our opening times change due to bad weather. Essentially, if you see it’s raining outside your window, check our social media before venturing out to the taproom 👍

Outdoor Seating ONLY

  • As you’ll all probably know by now, it’ll be TABLE SERVICE ONLY for the next wee while, so please keep that in mind.

  • 10 to 15 tables out in our carpark that comfortably sit 6 adults, spaced in a staggered formation to allow at least 1.5m distance between the closest points of two tables.

    • Note: we’re testing 10 tables on Friday 16th to start as we don’t want to over-stretch ourselves on the first night back. We’ll have 15 tables out Saturday and Sunday. After a week or so, we anticipate moving up to 15 tables each day when we’re open.

  • Each table is restricted to up to 6 people from the same household, or be in a group of any size with no more than two households present.

  • We will NOT be taking table bookings. It will strictly be first come, first served.

    • We felt it wasn’t worth the work to organise and coordinate tables, timing etc. just to have people not show up for their bookings, which unfortunately has already been rife in the industry since reopening.

How to order & pay

  • Reminder time, it’ll be TABLE SERVICE ONLY

  • Each Table will have a specific QR Code on it that you scan simply with your smart phone’s camera, which opens up a dedicated webpage so you can review our entire menu, place your order and pay for it securely all through the website using our Square POS.

  • Payments for orders are done securely through the QR website using our Square POS. Payments can be made using Apple Pay, Google Pay and by entering in your card details.

  • We will not be accepting cash payments at this time.

Checking in w/ Track & Trace

  • We will require every customer aged 16 and over who comes to our taproom to check into the venue with the NHS Track & Trace app before being served. If you do not have the app, it’s super easy to find in your phones App Store: Google App Link / Apple App Link

  • If you refuse to use the Track & Trace app, we will require you to provide your full name, contact telephone number or email and residential postcode before being served.

Thank you everyone for your patience whilst we've been working hard behind the scenes to give you the best experience possible for your triumphant AND safe return to the taproom.

We look forward to seeing you back here soon!
